Crazy Halloween Dinner

We have a Halloween tradition....

We tack up sheets in the kitchen so the kids can't see what I'm making...
I hide behind the sheets and speak in a really mean british witchy accent...using the word "twit" a lot when rferring to the children.
The menu consists of...

___Infested evil fruit

___Vampire bile with crazy sucker

___The dead are alive delight

___Blood and guts

___Haunting ghost in piles of frothy vomit

They put a number next to each item...hoping dessert will be delivered first. They really never know what's coming because I switch it up ever year. I know it sounds gross, but it is all pretty normal...

An apple with a gummi worm

Green punch with a crazy straw

Homemade macaroni and cheese (dyed brown) with bread sticks (looking like bony fingers)

Peas and carrots

A meringue ghost in a banana pudding cup

Grandma and Grandpa Magleby came over for the fun.
We also try to serve the main dish (mac and cheese) in a crazy container with a crazy utensil...Tru had to eat his with a hand beater attachment. Chloe had to eat hers out of a pitcher with tongs. As a result, a lot of brown mac and cheese ended up on the floor!

It didn't seem as spooky this year with it still being so light outside, maybe next year I'll get black sheets!

Happy Halloween everyone!
"Now eat up your dinner you little twits!"

Sweet candles! What a cool Mom! You look a little too cute and nice for a mean (British) witch. . . Next year we'll have to break out the fog machine and some spooky Halloween sounds.

Wow, that reminds of the good old days when we lived in Utah....all the cool fun things we had to keep up with out there. I won't show the kids this one.....I don't want to live up to that right now....lol. Just the thought of the mind power to think that up makes me tired!! I am so pathetic now a days!! I wish I had your energy.

I echo Jen by saying a big THANKS for sharing that tradition with us as well. Our 3rd year also, and my kids get pumped about it, even cool Cole. This was the first year Rob was actually there, and he was so impressed and gave me a big kiss and 'good job' to boot. You are the bomb mom and I love how you inspire me in the most important job I have. I love you!
