For Christmas, I tried to get creative and make some things for my kids. When I was about 8 my mom made me a "hobo sack" filled with fun camping items and treats, so that is what I did. I did a little research and found out that in hobo vocabulary it is called a "bindle." I also ordered a fun club house tent that I thought they would have fun playing in. Somehow I forgot about the tent and all of the sudden on February 12th it showed up on my step. So it became Valentines. One Saturday I packed them lunches and off they went as hobos to their hobo palace! They loved it and I remember their feelings exactly!
On the beginning of their trek...

Thanks for the fun idea Mom and the great memory. I have a picture of me with my bindle, but am too vain to post it!

That is a great idea! I love that you can remember all those fun things your mom did for you! I loved when life was so simple and we could play hobo's all day long!
