My Love in London

Happy 15th Anniversary...a few days after we flew to Vermont, Hans and I flew to London to celebrate. We've both been there before (I lived there in high school and Hans has been a few times with his dad leading semester abroads), so we just wanted to enjoy the city together. Our first stop out of the tube was in Leicester Square, I couldn't resist taking this silly shot of side by side phone booths.

Our awesome friends the Knells, Abe and Getchen, were living there, and truth be told, were the reason Hans agreed to this trip. They picked us up from the airport and brought us straight into the city where we had lunch at Covent Garden, shopped Portobello Market and walked the streets of Knotting Hill. We had dinner in China Town and then saw Jersey Boys in the theater district. They were so nice to let us stay at their place, we loved hanging out and watching Wimbledon, it was a blast! Thanks guys!

After two nights at the Knells, we went back into the city to our hotel right next to Trafalgar Square. Trafalgar is right in front of the National Gallery, my most favorite art museum in the whole world. I had tears in my eyes when we walked in...yes Hans teased me, but he loved that I was so into it. I often found him looking at me and I would say..."what?" He would respond, "You are so funny, you have the biggest smile on your face!" I was in London! I had waited so long to come back! I was loving every minute.
The next few days were filled with seeing two more shows, Spamalot (s0 funny) and The Lord of the Rings, the musical (incredible set and speacial effects...music not so good), walking the streets, doing a little shopping and eating a lot of Maltesers and Minstrels. One day after walking through Harrods, we found several streets named Hans...Hans Road, Crescent, Circle...we couldn't resist a few photos.
On the last day we were there, it poured. My jeans were wet up to my knees. We took the opportunity to get out of the rain by riding the London Eye. Big Ben seemed a little less important when we were up so high.
The real reason we came to London was that once I mentioned.... I had always dreamed of kissing the love of my life in London on Tower Bridge... Hans was happy to oblige. I had a blast Love, London will never be the same!

We had a blast too guys...loved every minute of it! Only problem was it went by too fast. I remember after I dropped you off at the train station being so bummed out the rest of the day. Oh well...we're back now and have fantastic memories.

That sounds like a great trip! It makes me eager to go on a trip with Jeff! Wouldn't you agree that there's just nothing like doing that with your hubby? Good call on the bridge kiss! You guys are cute!
