Josie is 6!!!

Our sweet little doll turned 6 and got a doll!
She has been asking for an american girl doll for a while, she loved that she looked just like her!
We also had our traditional birthday breakfast of crepes! She loves the sprinkles and the whip cream birthday number!  So fun!
Happy Birthday Josie girl!  You light up our family with joy and fun!

Girl's Trip

This was the start of what we hope will be a tradition that lasts a long time!
A girls trip down to St. George to see a play at Tuacahn!
We were short on time so we decided to do it all in one day so we started early.
Cracker Barrel in our opinion has the best pancakes...we lovingly refer to them as deep fried pancakes....they literally are fried in butter.  So good.

When we got so St. George, we had this crazy idea to let Josie get her ears pierced!  She was so excited and felt so big!
After some lunch, we headed to Snow Canyon and played at the sand dunes for a while! Then we cleaned up to head to dinner before the show!

We saw Alladin at Tuacahn!  It was awesome! Flying carpet ride and everything!  Such a fun day!  I love these sisters of mine!
The late night drive home wasn't very smart.  I'm pretty sure we'll get a hotel the next time!

Cheerleader Chloe

Chloe is on the JV cheer squad at Provo High School this year.  She is a freshman and loves hanging out with all of her friends!
She is darling and is great at it!  Plus, I LOVE making all the posters.....NOT!

St. George Marathon

After a full year of training... I was ready to do the St. George Marathon...that is, until I got a sinus infection a week before.  I felt awful.  I went on antibiotics and decided to do it, even though I wasn't feeling my best.  I had to let my friends go at mile 7, not being able to stay with them.  I plugged in my music and just tried to zone out.  It was hard, but I kept trying to think positive and remember that my body was trained to do it.  I had loosened my shoes because of some chronic foot pain I was having.  At about mile 16, my right big toe was on fire.  But I still had 10 left.  I wasn't in the right frame of mind to check my shoes, so I just kept going....I finished with a PR of 3:52.  I was beat down and exhausted.  So happy for it to be over. Not even caring about my time.  I was just with Laurie and Kathy, so I don't remember taking any pictures....if I find them I will add them to this post.  But the two I did take were me in my bed by 8:00 that night and my sweet toe that took 3 weeks to recover...poor little guy!

PS.  I also promised myself to never put that kind of pressure on myself again.  I love training for a marathon, absolutely love the accomplishment.  But the race is a whole different beast and I really don't like marathons! At all.

The MUD RUN!

Chloe and Truman rocked the mud run this year!  The dirtier the BETTER!
I had St. George marathon right around the corner and didn't want to risk getting hurt on one of the crazy obstacles.  But this is probably the funnest race I've ever done!

Chloe and Truman were awesome!

Grayson turns 17!

These pics are of a boy who is not thrilled to be celebrating his birthday with his family!
Whatever...he gives in at the end.
Chicken Marsala and Huge Cazookies

Sure do love you Gray and the great young man you are turning out to be!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRAYSON!

Dad made him his sweet duct tape crown....KING OF STEEZE.....Gray's word as of late...Steeze=style with ease!

The State Fair

 Sept 2012
For family night we decided to hit the state fair since Hans and I hadn't been since we were kids...or if ever!  The light was amazing and very picturesque!

The State Fair attracts all kinds of people....we were definitely right at home! Haha!  The boys and Josie were dying to try these balls.  They had a blast running around on the water but mainly falling over all the time.  It was crazy that they couldn't keep their balance.

Fun crazy night for the family!
